December Newsletter

Hello everyone, and welcome to Scrapville's December Newsletter.  Our first of many "lasts" for the year with most activities and classes winding up soon. I'm sure everyone is madly preparing for Christmas - making cards and sending them off, getting the decorations and the tree up, making your scary is that?!  And then there's the Christmas Concert, the break up parties, the Christmas drinks with friends.  And lets not forget the Work Breakup - and all those positively remarkable must get photo opportunities one should not miss out on for Scrapping!  (..just don't let it be you....)
As we cruise on into the silly season allow yourselves just a little bit of time for reflection, and appreciate where we are and those around us.  I hope that the impending Christmas Cheer includes happy times, chocolate, happy hours, family (if not your's then someone else's....) fantastic food, chocolate, catching up with friends, happy hours and enjoying the moment.

For the month of November we ran 4 ScrapBursts:  #1 – METALS #2 – STITCHING #3 – NUMBERS
Everyone entering the ScrapBurst Challenges had until Pumpkin Time on 30th November to complete their challenges. One layout will be accepted for each ScrapBurst, and there will be a Prize Pack up for grabs for the Winner.  An announcement will declare the winners on 2nd December. Good luck everyone!
Well our November/December Sketch Challenge is now entering it's two week countdown before Pumpkin Time, so jump on board people and get yours in. We have had some beautiful Sketch Challenges in so far, and I am very keen to see what you all come up with for this challenge.  I am sure there are a few more to come in yet!  The Pumpkin is ticking girls!!!

Our December Monthly Pack will be out next week, so keep tuned for your final Monthly Pack for 2012.  I hope you have enjoyed the packs this year, and have been inspired by the wonderful work the Creative Team girls have been doing.  Stay posted to see what they've come up with this time, and I am sure the girls will not disappoint with inspiring creations to keep you enthused.

If you want to be in the running for a Prize Pack, pick up a Monthly Pack and start creating.  You must use only the products in the pack, but you may use techniques such as inking, painting, stitching, Glimmer Misting etc, and be sure to have your Layout in by Midnight on 31st December.
Due to the impending Christmas chaos, the Blind CropVille has been cancelled, however we will run this class as a normal Layout Class at WanderVille on Wednesday, 7th December at 1pm.  Bookings are essential, and a list of your photos and requirements will be provided at the sales counter.

Regular Wednesday afternoons are still set aside for WanderVille at Scrapville.  Here you can "Wander on in" to Scrapville and scrap, make your cards, finish off those Christmas cards, or look for a bit of inspiration for that next project. You can also use the time to do a catch-up class, so long as prior arrangements have been made.
Wednesday 7th December will still be run as WanderVille unless otherwise advised.  The Christmas Layout Class will occupy ONE class table.  Please contact Janet if you have any queries.
Wednesday 14th December will be the LAST WanderVille for 2011.
Please come along and enjoy some mid afternoon scrapping with Coffee and Cake.
I really hope you might come along, have a chat and a cuppa, and even get a bit of creating done as well........

December Classes are also coming to an end.  At the moment we are still running the Christmas Paper Wreath at Scrapville, and at Ruby's in Myrtleford.  Please see the Newsletter Blog for Dates & Times.  Anyone wanting to do MakeUp or Repeat Classes can check the Class List for updates, or contact Janet to see if there is a waiting list or alternative dates set for another class.

The Flower Technique Classes will run again in 2012.  If you missed out this year be sure to get in early.   Class lists will go up for 2012 Classes and KidsVille Classes late December 2011.
Make sure you check it out to see what's new on the agenda, and who’s new.

With our first Scrapville Monthly Copic Club for 2011 now completed we have some very keen girls playing with their makers.  Show and Tell has been awesome, with some very creative cards being displayed by the girls, who worked their new colouring skills and techniques into some great results.

A big thank you to our very patient instructor for passing on the knowledge, skills and techniques behind mastering the Copic Markers.  Thanks also to the girls for taking part in the classes, and I look forward to seeing lots more Card Sketch Challenges!
