February Newsletter

Well January has come and gone, and a lot of the kiddies are either at a new year of school, or about to go. We've had plenty to occupy us during this past month, not all of it good, so I hope that everyone has been able to find a bit of balance. Those that have endured the recent floods, know someone that has, or has felt personal unrest for those in Queensland, I hope we can all find the strength to pull together and do that great Aussie Spirit justice by supporting each other and getting through these difficult and tragic times.

On the brighter side, Scrapville has seen a few changes in the past months as well with the Creative Team introducing some new talent to the mix. Nikki and Sam are both very detailed scrappers, each with a flair and style that is inspiring and creative. I hope you will enjoy seeing their work as much as I do.

COPIC MARKERS NOW AVAILABLE IN WODONGA

To kick off the arrival of our newest addition to Scrapville, our delightfully colourful Ciao Copic Markers have featured in a Demonstration Day at Scrapville on Saturday, 29th January. If you were lucky enough to attend you will have seen the basics first hand as the girls demonstrated how the Markers are best used, what you should use them with, and what they don’t like! The Card samples on display are an excellent example of what your finished projects will resemble.

There will be a lot happening in Scrapville's CopicVille World in the near future, we will be introducing the most gorgeous stamps to compliment the use of these markers, all the accessories, and a great team of supporters. You will also benefit from the purchase of your own starter kit when you sign up for Scrapville’s CopicVille Kit Club. Membership details will be announced the following month when the starter kits are due to arrive. Further details will be posted at PEEKVILLE on the Blog.

QUILLED FLOWERS WITH YOUR DIE CUT MACHINE

How quilled………. I mean thrilled.. were the Scrapville girls when they were demonstrating the quilling techniques on Demonstration Day? Heaps People! You got a hands on display using the Cuttlebug and the the Quilled Flower Dies, and were then shown the technique used to assemble your very own Daisy, Chrysanthemum and Roses for your projects. You just might need to take a little peek behind the counter at Scrapville to see what the girls have been busy making.

THANK YOU

Thank you to Nikki and Michelle for their helpful demonstrations, assistance and advice to the girls who came to see how the Copic Markers and Quilling Dies are used. Feedback has been wonderful, and I can't wait for the Copic Kit Club to start in March!
Thank you also to Allana for helping out whilst I was away for the day.

BLIND CROPVILLE

The Scrapville Blind CropVille has entered into a new year with Sally stepping into the role with plenty of designer prowess and challenging techniques for you to play with. We hope you will enjoy the wonderful classes planned for the rest of this year, and find time to join in with the excitement at an afternoon or evening Blind CropVille along the way. The first Blind CropVille was a lot of fun, and saw the girls using a variety of techniques to make organza and origami flowers. The layouts looked stunning, and the girls had a great time getting their layouts close to resembling the Master Layout, which was prepared by Sally. A big thank you to Sally for putting up a great class.

The next Blind CropVille is on Saturday, 26th February. The afternoon class commences at 2pm, and there are only 3 places available. The evening class commences at 7pm, and currently there are 5 places available.
Please remember that Bookings cannot be held without a Deposit.

An update will be posted to the Blog shortly with all the re-stocked items and new stock orders. With everyone getting back into the swing of things and the current CHA in the States there will be plenty of new release items hitting the shores soon.
