SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

Hi everyone, things have been very busy over the last couple of months, so I wanted to fill you all in on Watt's What at Scrapville! As you can see from recent posts it's been a while since we've had a decent update, so this Newsletter is very timely indeed. I have had some unexpected family commitments that required me to be away from the shop quite a bit recently, and therefore things have become somewhat sidetracked. I expect things to settle down over the coming weeks, so we'll soon be getting back to the usual day to day. Apologies for any inconvenience my absence has caused.

With the past couple of months being so full on, we've also had plenty going on behind the scenes as well. Trade shows, Scrap Days, Seniors Classes, Cards & Scrapping, Online Shop, Creative Team terms completed, Cards, Bunged up Staff, Bunged up Family, Challenges and more. I have also closed the shop on Mondays due to family commitments. I will re-assess the decision to close should circumstances change, but regardless keep an eye on the sidebar of the blog for further updates. I'm sure we'll be back to speed shortly, but please bear with us whilst we tackle the "catch up" stage.

SCRAPBOOKING & CARDMAKING DAY AT WAGGA WAGGA
At the end of June we took the shop off to Wagga Wagga for a Scrapbooking & Cardmaking day with the girls. It was a wonderful day, we had plenty of room to spread out, and we met some lovely ladies who were keen to get creative, and do a class or two. It is our intention to continue these days, so if you would be interested in attending please email or call the shop with your contact details so that we can let you know when the next one is on. Minimum numbers are required before any events will run.

CRAFTALIVE
Scrapville attended the recent Trade Shows at Wodonga and Wagga Wagga. It was wonderful meeting you there, and having the opportunity to meet so many more new faces. The girls had a great time chatting to everyone, and we hope to see you all again in-store or at future shows.

Scrapville enjoyed the experience, and was able to reach out to those who were looking to experience a touch and feel scrapbooking and cardmaking shop-front store.  Should you have any feedback regarding the CraftAlive shows, please be sure to let the lovely girls know your views by contacting them here: info@craftalive.com.au OR (03) 9682 5133

CHALLENGES
Congratulations to the belated winner of the last Sketch Challenge, Zan Boyle. We had some wonderful layouts, and they were all put together so differently that choosing just one winner didn't come easy. Challenge winners can contact Scrapville for their prize.

SKETCH CHALLENGES

Anita has been designing our Sketches for some time now, and doing such a wonderful job. With the expiry of her term as Creative Team member, Anita has agreed to continue designing the sketches for Scrapville. We are stoked to have her on board to continue inspiring you all with her talented ideas. Her sketches have always met with current and new trends, which we hope will continue encouraging you to take part and expand your creativity.

WEDNESDAYS 1pm to 4.30pm
Come along and join us for an afternoon of scrapping or cardmaking.  Work on your Christmas Cards or finish off those layouts you've been putting aside!  We're happy to assist, and there's plenty to choose from in the shop.  Everyone is welcome.

ONLINE SHOP
Scrapville has been working hard behind the scenes to get our online shop up and running to compliment the shop-front, and support the kits and products that we create and provide. Time is of the essence, and we are working on it in the background. Our goal for completion is to be ready by October, so be sure to keep an eye out. You will soon be able to order your kits and products from home, especially if you can't get into the shop, or alternately order online and pick up your paid and packed goodies when you're in next!

FLOWER TECH CLASSES
If you haven't seen the samples from our Flower Tech classes, be sure to ask next time you're in the shop. These technique classes are spread out over 5 weeks, where you will make 4 flowers and 4 cards in each class. These classes cover different techniques and products each week, requiring a hands on approach for each style. Our classes will re-commence in September, and will be running every second week on a Saturday.
Bookings are essential, and a requirements list will be provided once payment is received.

We will also be running full day Flower Tech Classes in Wagga, where we will cover a couple of classes each time to make the day cost effective for everyone (conditions apply).
