March Newsletter

Hello Everyone and welcome to the Scrapville March Newsletter. As we step into the beginning of the Autumn months I am sure many of us are wondering what exactly we are to expect from Mother Nature this time around.   We can always use the rainfall, but not when it results in unwanted flooding many are already experiencing.  I hope everyone is high and dry, and coping with the wet and wooly conditions.  Well the best part of Autumn, of course, is the wonderfully coloured falling leaves.  I can't wait to see the trees turn colour and your autumn photos appearing on your layouts.
March Monthly Pack.
My Private Happiness from The ScrapCake $25
I am excited about this month's Pack with all it's lovely soft colours and patterns. Matched up with the most beautiful embellishments. The Pack contains 2 x cardstock, 5 x DSPP, 2 x 7x12 DSPP, 3 mixed sized paper and material flowers, 3 x small paper flowers, lace trim, a bling runner strip, mixed matching journalling tags, and gorgeous foam Thickers. There's great product value in this pack. I really can't wait to see where your inspiration takes you. I hope you will get a lot out of this colourful pack, in both quantity and enjoyment. Our NEW Gorgeous Flowers will also be available in-store at Scrapville, and there is a wide range to choose from.

Please note that there will be a limited number of packs available in store, and once they're gone they're gone! The Packs are available NOW.

There are also a few "Boy Themed" packs available - only whilst stocks last. A change in the colour of the Thickers, the the 3 mixed sized paper and material flowers, and the 2 x 7x12 DSPP sheets better co-ordinate.

Monthly Sketch Challenges
We are receiving lots of challenges for the Feb/March Sketches, which is very inspiring.  Anita is keeping everyone busy with her wonderful Sketches, and it's great to see how you all see the sketches so differently, putting your own spin on the colour themes and designs.  Pumpkin time is still a couple of weeks away, so be sure to give this a try and get yours in.

Blind CropVille
The March BCV will run on Saturday 10th.  We have two classes to offer commencing 2pm or 7pm, and these will be run on the 2nd Saturday of each month.  If you would like to attend please be sure to book ahead as both are already half full.   For those that have not attended a Blind CropVille before, just drop Janet a line or call in for more info about the class and rules.

As well as the regular in-store class, Sally has been treating the CT girls to a cyber BCV.  We are once again seeing some great outcomes, even more so because the girls are using a different kit.  Be sure to make sure you check out what they've done!

Mondays
Scrapville's next OPEN Monday is next week, 5th March.  Take advantage of the extra opportunity to pop on in and browse around.  You can also check out the next Open day on the Newsletter Sidebar.

Classes
The Class List is now down to the last two months for this term.  Check out March and April, and if you are interested in attending any of these classes please be sure to book in.  Unfortunately with our lovely instructor presently unwell, we will be re-scheduleing a couple of the classes, so you will need to make a note of the changes.  Please pop on in to Scrapville to see the in-store samples.

New classes this year include an ongoing 2013 Calendar Class, where you will complete a Monthly Layout to add to your Calendar.   Please check the Newsletter Blog for any updates.  This really is an excellent gift idea for that someone special at Christmas.  The yearly calendar will be all done, adorned with your beautiful photo memories for the following year. Mum or Nanna or Pop or Aunty will be most pleased, but don't stop there - it will be admired by many!  An extra treat for this class is that our Creative Team will be contributing several months of beautiful designs to the Calendar throughout the year.

The Stash Box is the first of several Off The Page projects this year.  We hope to give you several interesting designs to dress up your storage area, as well as the extra projects to decorate your home.  See our in-store sample.

The Flower Tech classes are off and running again in March, and you're going to be pleased that you signed up.  With beautifully crafted cards adorned with your own handmade flowers, each class will take you to a new technique, and some very creative flowers. For those that missed classes previously, you can still do your makeup class, just be sure to book in first.

The Copic Club
Will tackle their 2nd Class this month, and I hope to see all their homework!  Each Monthly Class includes a kit and instructions, with hands on demo's.  By the time the Copic Club has finished it's course, each member will have a good supply of Copic Ciao Markers, and be able to create cards or pages using all their new techniques. Our aim is for you to feel confident in using all the colouring techniques, under the proper hands on instruction.

We also offer a discount on class products and tools purchased at the classes. This is a great incentive to increase your supply of tools and products.

Are you interested in doing a Stamping, Cardmaking or Copic Card class?
We would be happy to fit you in on a Saturday morning class, so please call in and add your name to the list, and once minimum numbers are met we'll be off and running!

Secondly, I'd like to send a little TOOT to Anthea English (former CT Member for Scrapville) who was recently published in Scrapbooking Memories.  Well done girlfriend!
On a lighter note I would like to send a special message to those currently finding themselves weathered down with ill health and family issues.  My heart goes out to you all, and I hope your coming days are made easier with the love and support of friends and family.
