June Newsletter

Hello everyone, welcome to the June Newsletter.
Not quite conforming to that of a regular monthly Newsletter, an enormous effort is being made to get you informed on the "What's What at Scrapville" each and every month.  Scrapville has lots going on, with plenty more to come!

Firstly, it's time to have another SALE at Scrapville - with the impending task of Stocktake coming up a clearance is needed to make the job easier!  So make sure you call in THIS WEEKEND to see what's going out, and see if you can rescue a bargain and lighten my load!
3rd June:FRIDAY NIGHT 7pm-10pm.
4th June:SATURDAY ALL DAY 10am-4pm.

Call in, have a look around,  and wander the isles. Prices as marked, clearance racks, bargain bins.  We look forward to seeing you there!

I would like to remind you all that our Creative Team has had a double dose of new talent on the Guest Team.  Sarah Wood will be sharing her talents month about with Michelle Rogers.  Mixing up the Guest List is a great way to give you all a bit of added inspiration each month, simply by seeing different styles from the newer girls.  Both girls are very hands on scrappers, not shy of a little tearing, stamping or cutting.

This month you will see both girls sharing a bit of their personal scrapping style with the announcement of our first ScrapBurst for June.  Just to make it that little bit more interesting, we will be running with 4 different ScrapBursts over the whole month.  They will all have different start dates, but will need to be completed by June 30th - so keep posted!

As we have now ventured past the end of May, I would like to remind those of you that entered the May Monthly Pack Challenge that an announcement will be done on Tuesday for the prize winners.  The prizes for the previous Sketch Challenges will also be announced at this time.  Don't forget to make sure your Challenges are at Scrapville on time, you still have until Pumpkin Time on June 14th for the current Sketch Challenges.   This month's challenge has used a circle for the photo, so we are seeing some interesting interpretations for that.

The Class List is being finalized at the moment, with new classes, dates and times put onto the calendar.  This will be sent out in a separate post, but I did want to let you know that we will be re-running the Grunge Layout Class, the Canvas Frame Class and the Flower Technique Classes 1 through 4.  Call into Scrapville and ask to see the Flower Display Box for a look at each Technique Class.

For those of you with a Cricut Create or Cricut Expression, this is a great class to help you to get to know your Cricut and all it's functions.  It's an even better idea if it gets your Cricut out of it's box!!  Whilst this has been a very popular class for learning hands on with your own machines, it is not limited to those who already own a Cricut.  If you are thinking of purchasing a Cricut and need to see it's worth, you are also welcome to attend the class.  Laybuy is also available should you wish to explore other purchase options.

It's exactly what it says... wander on in!  We have a regular Wednesday afternoon set aside for WanderVille, where you can come into the workshop at Scrapville and scrap, make your cards or look for inspiration.  You can use the time to get a challenge or two done, pick up some ideas or get a little help making a start on that special project you haven't been able to tackle lately.  And of course you can also enjoy a coffee or tea in the meantime, and find everything else you need to get it all done.  I've been wondering when you might......

If you would like to attend this years RetreatVille at the beautiful Lake Hume Resort, please check out the Newsletter Blog for more information, or email Janet for Registration Forms.  The dates to lock in are Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th September.  There are 2 options, and Deposits are now being called for to confirm your booking.   Places are not confirmed until a Deposit is Paid.

This months Blind CropVille is on Saturday 18th June.
There are 2 classes running:
  • from 2pm to 6pm,
  • from 7pm to 11pm.
If you're not sure what's involved, pop on over to the BLOG and have a look at what the girls did last month - and just for a heads up the girls are between 14 and a very spritely 70!  Our BCV Designer is worth taking for a spin, she has been putting up some beautiful classes.  Please ensure you book in early so that you don't miss out as the classes are very popular.
