Merry Happy December!!

That's right everyone, there's going to be a lot of that going on now that we're into the Mighty Merry Madness season, and that's not a bad thing, just very very busy for us all!  I hope you all manage to get your gifts bought, made and Gift Vouchers organized before You Know Who comes..........

December brings an end to many things, least of all 2010.  We will see the final Blind CropVille for the year on Saturday the 18th of December.  So far the afternoon BCV is filling fast, but there are still a few spots left.  We are hoping to make this one extra special as it is our last one for the year.
The last of our CropVille nights will be held this Saturday the 4th from 7pm to Midnight, then the following Friday 10th from 7pm to Midnight.
The last Paper Christmas Wreath class is running this Friday from 7pm to 10pm, so if you missed out this is your last chance!

The Wednesday WanderVille's will run on the afternoons of the 8th and 22nd from 1pm to 4pm.  Wander on in and get all your last minute projects done, or just disappear for some time out away from the menfolk and the kids doing what you love!!  Either way you are Welcome at WanderVille at Scrapville on Wednesday...

In the middle we have the close off for the Nov/Dec Sketch at Midnight on the 14th December.  Be sure to get your challenge in on time, Melinda has put up another wonderful Sketch for your Cards and Layouts and we would all like to see what you come up with.  As the Winner of the Sketch Layout Challenge you will receive a Scrapville $20 Voucher.  The previous Sketch Winner will also be involved in choosing a winner, by being awarded one vote as part of their prize.  This will go to the New winner the following month.  What better way to get that extra scrappy something for Christmas??

Don't forget to call in before close of business this Saturday to collect a few bits and pieces from the sale.  You may even find that there have been further reductions on clearance items...  Call in and check it out.  We still have a few wire paper racks, 50c cardstock and patterned papers, $5 and under punches, $6 Thickers and a display wall of hangsell items.

I would like to Congratulate the following three Lucky Door Prize winners:
  • Sarah Thompson
  • Paula Draper
  • Sue Slater
You can collect your prizes when in-store next.

During Birthday Sale Melinda took control of the Blog Give Away to help me celebrate Scrapville's very first birthday.  We decided to give away the entire Echo Park Wintertime Collection!
A little comment later and a little Blog love later, that amazing Random Generator selected Shelee as the winner! Here is what Shelee said:
  • ... Happy 1st Birthday Scrapville! What a fabulous achievement! I am a follower and have left you some love on my blog!
Congratulations Shelee, and thank you for your lovely comments and for being a Scrapville Follower.

DID YOU KNOW???...............
We have just welcomed the newest member of our Creative Team to Scrapville.  I would like to announce to everyone that it is with much pleasure that I welcome Nikki Antonello to the Team.  I have personally known Nikki for several years, and her style is very much known for it’s intricacies in fussy cutting, layering and beautiful flowers.  Nikki’s work is also something I see as coming from the soul, it has such depth and meaning – there’s no other words for it.  I welcome Nikki to the Team, and look forward to sharing the inspirational months ahead with our newest talent.  Please feel free to jump on the Blog and welcome Nikki to the Team.

We have uploaded the December Monthly Pack to the Blog, and there you will find a jam packed Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 Pack, and a nicely filled Booster.  Pop into the store to check out the Creative Team samples, or visit the Blog.  It is amazing to see the way everyone has interpreted the papers to choose their style of scrapping.  Often you can be purely inspired by the paper's colour or pattern to work your layout, other times the theme behind the design just makes you jump up and grab a certain photo, and you're off.  This range from Cosmo just seems to have a certain sophistication about it, and I can't wait to see how everyone draws their inspiration from it.

We have new arrivals of the Christmas Word Clear Stamps,
Quilling Dies for the Daisy, Rose and Chrysanthemum handmade flowers, and the smaller fringing for inner petals, (be sure to see the beautiful cards and canvas on display behind the front counter)
The Glueglider Refills have been restocked,
more beautiful papers and die cut paper pads from Jenny Bowlin,
The Tombow Muli adhesive has been restocked,
The Black & White Bazzil cardstock has been restocked,
a lot of the cardstock colours have also been restocked,
We have a new range of Mesh trim in Gold & Silver for Christmas, and several other exciting colours,
We have some lovely decorative Green Tara Bling & Wire sprays to dress up your pages.

Also coming SOON is:
MonsterVille from SEI,
The Little Boy range from Echo Park,
A new range of Quilling Tools and Accessories,
Prima Flowers, BoBunny New Releases, Dulwich from DeLish, Jilly Bean Soup and more.

The EXCITING NEWS is............... arriving NEXT WEEK is our CIAO COPIC MARKERS!!!
The difference these Markers make need to be seen to be believed!  Keep posted for our Copic Saturday, when we will have the girls playing at the shop so you can see how these wonderful new and exciting markers are best used.  (Be sure to see the gorgeous cards on display behind the front counter).  There will be a lot happening in Scrapville's Copic World in the near future, we will be introducing the most gorgeous stamps to compliment the use of these markers, all the accessories, and so much more.

Also soon to be in-store is the DO-CRAFTS range of products.  If you are a card maker you are going to LOVE these, there's even a magazine packed full of samples and ideas, and instructions for all the projects.  (and their stamps are also just PERFECT for the Ciao Copic Markers..)  There is so much variety with this range you will be surprised!  Stay posted for the Arrival Date.

I'm sure that has given you plenty to look forward to, personally I'm seeing LOTS of brown boxes and that's about it.........

Thank You's...
During November I approached someone to take on the task of preparing an extra layout for the Scrapville Sketch.  I wanted to give this person the opportunity to tackle the Sketch, within it’s guidelines, and show everyone how easy it was to draw from the inspiration of the sketch to come up with a wonderful interpretation.  To this end I would like to thank Sam Epps for her beautiful contribution to the Nov/Dec Sketch, with her use of bright, fresh colours, wonderful layering and balanced design.  I would like to thank Sam for her Sketch, and look forward to sharing more of Sam’s work with you as part of Scrapville’s Special Request Features.

To the girls who have allowed Scrapville to display their layouts and other projects in-store, thanks for taking part.  It's inspiring to be able to see finished products and gain a few new technique ideas.

To all the girls who have attended a CropVille Night or Blind CropVille, thank you for taking part.  It is great meeting up with you all and seeing your creativity at work.

To all those that attended a Class during the year, thank you, and I hope you were able to take away some new ideas, techniques and inspiration.

To the Little People, thank you for coming along to KidsVille, special Mother's Day Class and special Father's Day Class.  It is always a pleasure to see you being excited about your class and what you take home from it.  I'm looking forward to the School Holiday KidsVille to what you can do!

To all the really LITTLE people who often come along and help me draw pictures at the front counter, I'm so glad your drawings are up on the board, because I don't think mine are getting any better!

To the RetreatVille ladies, thank you for taking part in Scrapville's very first 4 Day Event.  As busy as RetreatVille was for me, it was great meeting you all and seeing your work.  There are so many talented ladies out there.  I am looking forward to growing this event with my business and making it an even better RetreatVille for 2011.  I look forward to seeing many repeat attenders, and a few new ones too!!!
