Hello to my Creative Friends, I hope you are all well and have a little time to grab a cuppa as I send out my big announcement. Next week will be my last in the Wodonga Shopfront. After much thought and consideration I have decided to pack up my business and go closer to home, and also online. For those of you that know me, you will understand that I go forth with a very heavy heart. I will certainly miss your happy, friendly faces, not so much your grumpy-day faces, but your family updates, your fur-baby updates, sharing your photos and ideas, helping out with those hard to sort projects, and even the occasional coffee and catch up.
I am looking forward to being nearer to home, and taking a little much needed quality time to spend with family before I set myself up properly. Once Scrapville is all sorted I will be in touch to let you know when you can call in, or come along to a class. There will also be the option to purchase online. I intend to maintain a regular monthly class in Wodonga and a scrap day. As long as your details are correct I will keep you informed.
Scrapville will be open this Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm, and my final trading day is Saturday, 5th of July between 10am and 1pm. It would be nice if you'd like to take this opportunity to call in, and whilst there you might want to grab a final bargain at the Stocktake/Moving Sale.
The Scrapville Blog will remain up and running for the time being, as I would like to keep you updated with what comes next. I can still be contacted at scrapville@iinet.net.au should you need to get in touch. The contact mobile number remains the same on 0478 806 289.
Also, please be sure to pick up any challenge layouts and cards that have not as yet been collected. I have attempted to return as many as I could prior to today, but still have unclaimed projects at Scrapville. Unfortunately the butcher next door is not keen to hold them!
I have loved being part of your creative journey, growing the passion.

January 2014 Newsletter
Hello everyone, and welcome to 2014! May this year bring all that you hope for, health and happiness. With 2013 now behind us may we all look forward to a wealth of good times ahead, with something positive to focus on and aim for.
Scrapville looks forward to offering so many new bits and pieces this year, from our New Classes, Instructors, Creative Teams and an Uber Exciting Retreat!
Personally speaking, the Old Fart has happily settled into his new abode, and the family is much more comfortable with the set up. His new pad is adorned with photos of the Little Fart, and some of the family! The Little Fart, recently acquired from the Old Fart, is finding her niche by adamantly protecting Me and the house from the Blokey Man that lives there!! Attempts to round up the cat have been met with a stern "I don't think so..." stand off, and one can only hope the Little Fart keeps to a speedy gait ahead of the Big Fella whilst he lifts his towering leg at every available opportunity. As I said, lots happening!
So now the online shop....., it's still coming! It is such a competitive area, and not to venture out into this direction would be a huge disadvantage to Scrapville's future growth. So, please bear with us, it's all positive even though we have had set backs...
There is going to be lots going on this year, and I look forward to all that is New and Exciting. I will be updating each little tidbit as we go along, so please ensure you are signed up for our Newsletters. Be part of the excitement, and keep inspired.

NEW SCRAPBURST CHALLENGES
Run out of time to do the ScrapBursts? Over all the Festive Fuss? Well, this is what we've got - another ScrapBurst challenge. I know everyone finds the Silly Season a little daunting, and with all the added running around we don't quite get around to tackling all those scrappy things we'd much rather be doing. Hence, a very poor result for our famous ScrapBursts. Well, clear the Table, it's time to greet 2014 creatively with a bit of scrapping and cardmaking because we're going to have another crack at it! I have changed up the challenges for you, all you have to do is follow the criteria for each of the ScrapBursts or Card Bursts and complete your projects.
Come on everyone, put your Mojo into Go, I know you're all itching to get into it! The ScrapBursts are one of the Challenges I love most here at Scrapville, and seeing what everyone comes up with is exciting and leaves me in anticipation of each entry. Let's get on-board and grab some prizes as well. As long as your Layouts and Cards meet the following categories, they will be accepted into each challenge:

SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
Hi everyone, things have been very busy over the last couple of months, so I wanted to fill you all in on Watt's What at Scrapville! As you can see from recent posts it's been a while since we've had a decent update, so this Newsletter is very timely indeed. I have had some unexpected family commitments that required me to be away from the shop quite a bit recently, and therefore things have become somewhat sidetracked. I expect things to settle down over the coming weeks, so we'll soon be getting back to the usual day to day. Apologies for any inconvenience my absence has caused.
With the past couple of months being so full on, we've also had plenty going on behind the scenes as well. Trade shows, Scrap Days, Seniors Classes, Cards & Scrapping, Online Shop, Creative Team terms completed, Cards, Bunged up Staff, Bunged up Family, Challenges and more. I have also closed the shop on Mondays due to family commitments. I will re-assess the decision to close should circumstances change, but regardless keep an eye on the sidebar of the blog for further updates. I'm sure we'll be back to speed shortly, but please bear with us whilst we tackle the "catch up" stage.
SCRAPBOOKING & CARDMAKING DAY AT WAGGA WAGGA
At the end of June we took the shop off to Wagga Wagga for a Scrapbooking & Cardmaking day with the girls. It was a wonderful day, we had plenty of room to spread out, and we met some lovely ladies who were keen to get creative, and do a class or two. It is our intention to continue these days, so if you would be interested in attending please email or call the shop with your contact details so that we can let you know when the next one is on. Minimum numbers are required before any events will run.
(scrapville@iinet.net.au OR 0260 567258)
CRAFTALIVE
Scrapville attended the recent Trade Shows at Wodonga and Wagga Wagga. It was wonderful meeting you there, and having the opportunity to meet so many more new faces. The girls had a great time chatting to everyone, and we hope to see you all again in-store or at future shows.
Scrapville enjoyed the experience, and was able to reach out to those who were looking to experience a touch and feel scrapbooking and cardmaking shop-front store. Should you have any feedback regarding the CraftAlive shows, please be sure to let the lovely girls know your views by contacting them here: info@craftalive.com.au OR (03) 9682 5133
CHALLENGES
Congratulations to the belated winner of the last Sketch Challenge, Zan Boyle. We had some wonderful layouts, and they were all put together so differently that choosing just one winner didn't come easy. Challenge winners can contact Scrapville for their prize.
SKETCH CHALLENGES
Anita has been designing our Sketches for some time now, and doing such a wonderful job. At the end of June we took the shop off to Wagga Wagga for a Scrapbooking & Cardmaking day with the girls. February 2013 Newsletter
Hello Everyone, and welcome to the February Newsletter. I have made some new and exciting changes at Scrapville for 2013, and I hope you will get the chance to call in and see the new look shop. With new shelving, displays and a dab of paint, we are refreshed and raring to go. Now, lets see what else is happening!
MONTHLY PACK
This month we are running with a pack from Kaisercraft’s latest range, 75 cents. 75 cents is a gorgeous collection that has a vintage theme. This range is extremely versatile as it has three central colours; dusty turquoise, black and soft brown, able to compliment a variety of different photos. The quirky elements found throughout the collection include butterflies, vintage labels, florals and antique frames. These images are found throughout the embellishments creating harmony within this collection.
Included in the Pack is:
You may use any alphas you choose, and techniques such as stitching, inking, misting, sanding, or die-cutting. If you have any queries, please contact Scrapville.
The Monthly Pack Challenge is for both a Layout and a Card, but you may enter either or both.
The Challenges must be received by Pumpkin Time 28th February. You can upload your challenges to the Linky with a direct link to your Challenge Post on your Blog. If you do not have a Blog, then drop or email your entry into Scrapville. You may only enter 1 challenge for either the Layout or the Card, although a double layout entry will be accepted as 1, and a set of 3 cards will also be accepted as 1, providing they are of the same theme. There needs to be at least 4 entries in each Challenge for prizes to be awarded. The winners will receive a Prize Pack.
I hope you enjoy creating with this wonderful pack, and we look forward to sharing our samples shortly.

Please make sure you link the Challenge Page on your Blog when uploading. Anyone having difficulties uploading to the Linky can send us an email and we’ll get back to you with help.
SPELLBINDERS DESIGNER CARD CLASS
On Saturday, February 23rd we will be running a morning and afternoon Spellbinders Card Class, instructed by Linda Lucas from the Spellbinders SpellBlogger Team, and as a DT Member of the Australian Distributors of Spellbinders. These classes are an absolute must do, with firsthand experience using Spellbinders fantastic products, partner products and demo afterward.
Linda has recently returned from the USA where Spellbinders had her sampling and playing with the latest Spellbinder products. Linda is a member of several design teams and has been published multiple times online, in magazines, and in books. Linda describes her style as eclectic, vintage with a touch of shabby. She loves to embellish with lace, pearls, ribbon and of course, Spellbinders dies!
As numbers will be limited for this class, bookings will only be accepted upon full payment, on a strictly first in basis. Currently they are filling fast, and due to limited numbers there are no exceptions. We're looking forward to sharing Linda's expertise with you, so don't miss this wonderful experience.
TECHNIQUE CLASS RE-RUN - WINTER WONDERLAND
Due to the popularity of our Utee Serendipity class, we will be re-running this on Tuesday, 12th February at 7pm. If you would like to see the sample please call into the store. This class will take you into a new area of embossing techniques, which is quite unique. You will be given the requirements list upon booking, and the class includes the Kit.
BLIND CROPVILLE
The February BCV has been scheduled for Saturday, 16th February, numbers permitting. All BCV’s offer techniques, and require a basic scrapbooking knowledge. This is not a usual instructional class where you are given an exact placement instruction or measurement; it is more an interpretation where you will make these decisions. You will be encouraged to add a bit of whimsy to the unknown and challenge yourself. At the completion of the BCV the reveal will show you a sample of how the initial layout can be interpreted. Bookings essential.
