These are a new range of classes aimed at the adventurous and creative. We want to take you through the latest techniques and styles using a range of mixed media products. Our monthly class will give you something different each time, which we hope will please and amaze you.

There will be three different instructors, so you will definitely get a variety of teaching experience, and work styles. Be sure to see our samples in-store for a closer look, or check out our sneak peek above....

March 2014 Newsletter

Hello everyone, welcome to our March Newsletter. We have been very busy at Scrapville building up our classes, and the girls are doing a great job.  Our Newest instructors are being met with lots of praise and excitement, and they have heaps to offer. If you haven't seen our Off The Page samples, call in and see what you can look forward to. Also on the Class List is our new Mixed Media classes.  Read on below to learn more!

SCRAPVILLE ANNOUNCEMENTS
CREATIVE TEAM / INSTRUCTORS
I am pleased to announced that we have new members to the Creative Team, as well as instructors. I hope you will join me in welcoming Jane Huhta and Jennie Seal to the Team. Back on as support is yours truly and Sally Clark. You will be seeing some fantastic work from the girls, and the classes are going to keep you all inspired and excited. There will be more from the girls shortly, so I hope you will follow along and give them your support.
Angie Wenke and Zan Boyle are busy teaching the girls Cards and Scrapbooking, whilst Jane and Jennie will be working on a range of Layouts, Off The Page projects and Mixed Media.  Sally and I will work on Layouts and Card sets, and a bit of who knows what else! Our bonus here is the Monthly Blind CropVille that is back, and Jane is excited to be tweaking your curiosity there!  We have some more Specialty Designers coming on board a bit later, so keep tuned for that.

SKETCH CHALLENGES
I am really hoping that you will find the new sketches interesting and inspiring.  Whilst we've been spoilt by Anita's designs, Janet has put up the designs for this month's Sketches.  Our March Sketch Challenges are due in Pumpkin Time March 31st.

WODONGA SHOW - 29 MARCH 2014
This year's Annual Show is on this month, so make sure you get your projects entered. The Classes are listed below at the end of the Newsletter, and your entries would support the local community and our Show Society. Everyone coming into the pavilion loves to see the scrapbooking, so even if you only do one entry, it's sure to make a difference.

If you like a challenge and want to try something inspirational, then this is the one for you! You will be led through the step by step class by our instructors, ultimately making all the decisions yourself are left up to you.

MMT - MIXED MEDIA TECHNIQUES

If you're someone that likes to push the boundaries and try new things, then this is the class for you. There's an excitement in Mixed Media Techniques that is taking scrapbooking to new levels, and we're going to show you how to do it. We will be running these classes Monthly, so if you're up to getting into an assortment of paints, sprays, texture pastes, masks, inks, emphera and more, then this is where you need to be! Be prepared to get messy, it's very hands on and the techniques are awesome.

Christmas Cards

In this class you will make 4 Christmas Cards, all with range of techniques and styles.
Please bring: pencil, ruler, eraser, trimmer, scissors, bone folder, doublesided tape and glue, foam mounting dots/squares and several basic ink colours.

Christmas Wreath
1.00pm to 4.00pm

Includes Afternoon Tea

Limited places and kits available.In this class you will make the beautiful Paper Christmas Wreath on show at Scrapville.
Please bring: pencil, ruler, eraser, trimmer, scissors, bone folder, strong doublesided tape and a good strong glue. Clothes pegs also come in handy to hold bits together (about 6). VersaColor Inks in either Pinecone, a Brown or Green.

JUNE NEWSLETTER

Hi everyone, welcome to the June Newsletter and the beginning of some very wet and cold days ahead. Here at Scrapville we’ve been keeping busy with our classes. The weekly card class has been creating some wonderful cards each week. Two different designs, and a variety of useful techniques each week. Also running is our Flower Technique classes, which cover a variety of mediums and styles. Each class covers 4 flowers, and 4 cards to display them. This is a wonderful hands-on class, and the samples are just gorgeous. Coming up later this month is our next Thursday Night Card Class, full of interesting designs and great techniques. This class is sure to please as you explore new creativity. Our Wednesday afternoon WanderVille continues to be popular as the girls gather for some quality scrapping and cardmaking.

MONTHLY PACK
During May we made some changes to the Monthly Pack so that you had more of a challenge. With the Monthly Pack you can create your own projects, or enter our Challenge. For those seeking more of a challenge you could use the Monthly Pack along with a specific criteria, which will be listed with each Monthly Pack. You would be required to create a Layout and/or a Card using the pack, or for those avid card makers, you can enter the Challenge with a Set of Cards, also using the specific criteria for cards.

There will be a prize for the winners in each challenge, providing minimum entry numbers have been met. The close off date for entries is Pumpkin Time on the last day of the month. Don’t forget, you’ll need to upload your entries to the Linky before the deadline, or you can email them into Scrapville if you don’t have a Blog. Scrapville will only accept entries at the shop up until two days prior to the close off date. Criteria for Monthly Pack Challenges will be listed with each Pack.

MAY/JUNE SKETCH CHALLENGES
I hope you are enjoying the Sketch Challenge put up by Anita. You have until Pumpkin Time on 14th June to submit your entries to the Linky on the Blog. There will be a prize for the winners voted closest to the Scrapville Sketch in both the Layout and Card Challenge. You will need to meet the criteria.

FLOWER TECH CLASSES
WEEK 5
SATURDAY 22nd JUNE.
10am to 12pm with Angie
This class has run every second week for 4 Classes.
It offers hands on technique classes using a variety of styles and products to create handmade flowers. Each one will be mounted onto a card as your own display sample to take home.
Skill levels are for Beginners to Intermediate, with step by step instruction.
The 5th and 6th classes are Advanced, and have just been added to the list.
Bookings are essential.

Arriving shortly is the June/July magazine, and this stock will be strictly limited.

Christmas Wreath Classes

CHRISTMAS WREATH – 2 Weeks - **Amended**
Anyone interested in attending the Christmas Wreath Classes will need to contact Janet to confirm your booking. This has been a very popular class, so there are limited kits available and once they are gone that's it for this year!  The price of the class includes the full Kit, so there's nothing extra to outlay.  Once you've booked you can make a spot at home to display your lovely wreath once finished!  As this class runs over 2 weeks, you'll have 'homework" for the 2nd class - which isn't really all that bad.  Here is a sneak peek of the finished product!

Class dates are Thursday 15th November at 7pm, and Saturday 24th November at 2.30pm.

NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

Hello Everyone, and welcome to the November Newsletter. Before we know it you’ll be celebrating the New Year and packing away your Christmas Trees! I’m sure everyone is wondering where the time has gone. Another time defining moment will see Scrapville entering into a 4th year Next Month. In times of struggle for retail businesses alike it has been quite a journey, and I have learnt much along the way. I hope new and exciting plans for 2013 will help us continue to grow our creativity and our passion. I would like to think that we will also endure many more pleasant and fulfilling days to come, when you stop by once again and we get catch up. With the New Year comes a new lineup for the Creative Team, and therefore it’s time to put the Call out for the first 6 months of 2013. MONTHLY SKETCH CHALLENGESThe October/November Sketch Challenge is up and running, and your challenge entries expire Pumpkin Time November 14th. Anita has done a wonderful job creating the Sketches just for Scrapville, so why not put it to the challenge and give it a go.

BLIND CROPVILLE
The November BCV will be running on Saturday, 17th November. We will be running both classes, one at 2pm and the 2nd at 7pm. This is a technique BCV, and will be taken by Sally. I hope you can make it, as it’s going to be fun!! You can find the list uploaded to the side-bar on the Blog shortly, and bookings are essential.

CHALLENGE WINNERS

• Please note that to be eligible for the challenges we must have a minimum or four (4) entries in each. 
• Each challenge has criteria to meet, whether it is using the pack products, sticking to the design of the sketch, or using products that can be purchased and supported by Scrapville. 
• All challenges are voted for by the Creative Team. 
• Anyone who wins a monthly challenge cannot win the following month’s challenge (to be fair to other entries) but are encouraged to share their challenge creations.

The Monthly Pack winners will WIN the following months Monthly Pack, unless otherwise specified at the time of the release. Where there is not a Monthly Pack for that month, (such as when we have the ScrapBursts) you have the option to default to the next one, or take a Prize Pack. The Sketch Challenge Winners will win a Prize Pack.

The Announcements for the Challenge Winners will be made within 5 days of the end of the Challenge.

EZY PZY KITS
Nice and Ezy, these kits have been put together to take the work out of choosing all your papers and their coordinating bits and pieces. We are adding to the selection and topping them up, so why not pop in and see what we’ve got for you. They are a great starter kit, which the Creative Team girls have used to create some wonderful scrapbooking pages. A great value Kits at just $10.00!

CROPVILLE

The next CropVille, numbers permitting, is on Saturday 10th November from 7pm to 11.30pm. Please ensure you book in advance so that numbers are confirmed prior. You are welcome to scrap or make cards, or work on off the page projects. Bring a friend if you like, and have a creative night out.

WEEKLY & MONTHLY CARD CLASSES
Anyone interested in joining Heidi for our Weekly Seniors Card Classes on Wednesday mornings can contact Scrapville to make your booking. We will also be holding a Monthly Evening Card Class on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The next one is on 15th November at 7pm, and again you’ll need to book. All classes include the kits.

LAYOUT CLASS
This Friday night we’ll be running a layout class. You will be given a kit and requirements list for photo sizing and essential tools to bring. Starts 7pm, Friday 2nd November - bookings essential.

CHRISTMAS WREATH – 2 Weeks
Anyone interested in attending the Christmas Wreath Class can contact Janet to make a booking. This has been a very popular class, and will only run if numbers are met.

As we now move into the second half of our year, we also move onto the next phase of our Creative Team, or not…  Our vastly creative team of girls has had a busy 6 months creating for Scrapville.  With the Monthly Packs, Sketches and ScrapBursts, as well as preparing our Monthly Sketch designs and contributing to the Class Lists the Team was flawless.  Their support and contributions to myself and Scrapville has just been amazing, and for this I would like to thank each and every one of them; Sally, Claire, Anita and Deb – it really has been a pleasure.  There is lots that goes on behind the scenes, so it is great to have a team to depend on for meeting the challenges and inspiring so many.

For this reason I have approached the girls to stay on for another term, and thankfully they have all agreed!  I hope you will join me in congratulating the Team, and welcome them in extending their creative and inspirational prowess for a bit longer.  Welcome aboard girls, enjoy the ride, and hang on!!!

Blind CropVille

The July BCV will run on Saturday 14th July.  We are still running both classes, and can therefore offer you an early class commencing 2pm, or the evening class commencing 7pm.  If you would like to attend please be sure to book ahead to hold your place.  For those that have not attended a Blind CropVille before and would like more information, just call Janet or pop into the store.

RetreatVille 2012 

The dates for Retreat are Thursday 20th September to Sunday 23rd September. There are still a few places available with Bookings still being taken.  Options are 3 Nights /4 Days or 2 Nights / 3 Days.  For further inquiries please email Janet  or call into the store.

Classes
The Class List is up for July, August & September, although September will be a little light on due to the Retreat.  You can find the list on the Newsletters Blog (just link off the sidebar on the Scrapville Blog).  If you are interested in attending any of these classes please be sure to book in, as minimum numbers are required before any classes can run.

The Stash Box

Somewhere you can stash your bits and pieces, your photos, your special little adornments, or anything else on the top of your workspace that needs keeping safe.  This Off The Page project will be on display in-store shortly.

Flower Tech Classes

Run over the course of 4 x weekly classes, these classes have proved to be very popular.  With beautifully crafted cards adorned with your own handmade flowers, each class will take you to a new technique, and some very creative flowers.   We will be running these Classes again, and will also include the option of doing the Advanced Flower Tech Classes at the completion.

For those who just completed the Flower Tech Classes, you will be able to attend the Advanced classes following the current classes.  These gorgeous new handmade flowers will take a little more work, but as part of the Advanced Classes they will be well worth it.

The Copic Club

Will commence again in July.  Each class over the duration of the 4 months includes a kit and written instructions, as well as hands on instruction.  By the time the Copic Club has finished it's course, each member will have a good supply of Copic Markers, and be able to confidently create cards or pages using all their new techniques.  Our aim is for you to feel confident in using all the specific colouring techniques, under the proper hands on instruction.

We also offer a discount on class products and tools purchased at the classes.  This is a great incentive to increase your supply of tools and products.

CLASS LIST JULY - AUG - SEPT

Hi Everyone, welcome to Scrapville’s Class Listing for July, August and September. We are pleased to be offering a variety of classes to tempt your Creative taste buds. Please feel free to look over the listing before booking into your classes. You can contact Scrapville by email, ring, or drop into the store in person to book in or pay your deposit.

All classes will require a minimum of participants to run. Those booked in will be required to bring their own tool kit, including trimmers and adhesives. Any further requirements will be advised prior to the commencement of your class. Further Classes will be added to the Class List once details and timelines are confirmed.

All Scrapville Instructors and Demonstrators are competent, courteous and hands on with assistance. They represent Scrapville in a positive light with respect and appreciation. These qualities enable them to deliver enjoyable and productive instruction to their participants.

All classes are two hours, unless otherwise stated.
Class Booking and Deposits are essential for all classes. 

Deposits are non-refundable or transferable if less than 48 hours notice given.
Class Kits will be included in the class, unless otherwise stated.
Participants are required to bring their Basic Tool Kit (trimmer, scissors, ruler, pencil & adhesives). Participants will be given a 10% discount off the purchase of Class Specific Technique Products immediately following the Class.
The Copic Club Classes will be given specific class kits each month and product discounts.

BASIC TOOL KIT 

This is a list of the basic requirements that you will need in your everyday Basic Tool Kit. It is advisable to bring this with you to all classes.

· Paper trimmer and replacement blades
· Scissors and craft knife
· Steel ruler
· Pencil and eraser
· Double sided tape (or tape runner tool)
· Foam mounting tape (or pre-cut squares)
· Strong glue
· Black marker and black fine-liner (OR dual-tipped marker)

Once you have obtained the above and ready to try a few extra techniques or add to your stash, then these would be the next items to add to your BTK. They are also basic tools, but will give you much more mileage with what you can do. 

· Distressing tool
· Bone scorer
· Paper piercer AND suitable piercing mat (old soft style mouse pads are excellent)
· Sewing needle – 1 small and 1 large
· Dimensional Magic (or similar)
· Black/Pinecone Versacube ink pad.

A requirements list will be available for those classes that require you to bring specific items from your own supplies. If you do not have any of the specific items listed, you will be able to purchase them prior to the class commencing. Class discounts apply to all classes for products/technique tools used in that class.
