MARCH SCRAPBURSTS

Hi everyone, are you ready? We are about to embark on our first ScrapBurst Challenges for 2013, but not just ANY ScrapBursts. For the first time we would like to announce the introduction of our CardBursts. With so many avid and talented Card Makers out there, we thought it only appropriate that they be included in our creative bursts, with a section all their own. I hope everyone is ready for these challenges, as we have heaps of prizes to go with them!
Firstly, we need to cover a few Challenge Rules.
you can only enter each Challenge once (4 x ScrapBursts, 4 x CardBursts)
the entry must be your own work
the entry must meet all the requirements of each Challenge to qualify
you may add Techniques to your Challenges such as:

  • inking
  • painting/texture
  • misting
  • stamping
  • stitching/sewing
  • die cutting
  • embossing
  • distressing
  • handmade
You may use a ScrapBurst Kit purchased from Scrapville for any of the Challenges, and these will be selected randomly. Anyone selected as a Winning entry who has used a ScrapBurst Kit for their Challenge will receive another ScrapBurst Kit FREE with their PRIZE. These are available to purchase for $15.00.

There will be a BONUS PRIZE for any Winning entry in ScrapBurst Challenge #4, and CardBurst Challenge #4, that has purchased their Spellbinder Challenge Products from Scrapville. (your purchase will need to be validated for redemption)

ALL ScrapBurst and CardBurst Challenge Winners will receive a Prize Pack.
Challenge Winners will be chosen by the highest votes from the Creative Team.

The ScrapBursts commence 15th March and Close Pumpkin Time 30th APRIL....that's right, we are giving you plenty of time to get these done, with the view that anyone who enters both sections may require more quality time to get all their Challenges done!

Anyone that tries to fudge the rules with Creative Licence will go into the Scrapville Cyber Naughty Corner - we have Rules guys!!!
If you require further information, please email Janet. I am really excited about these Challenges, as are the Creative Team girls so I hope everyone has lots of fun creating. Now, lets all have a look and see what has to be done! Good luck everyone.

March Newsletter

Hi Everyone, welcome to the March Newsletter.  This month there is plenty happening at Scrapville, we have a real mixed bag of Scrap-a-mation and Card-a-mation (copyright Scrapville....) to fill you in on, so read on below for more creative insight.

But first, what about our Spellbinders Designer Classes with Lovely Linda - Designer and Blogger for Spellbinders??  In February we ran 2 Spellbinders Classes, instructed by Linda Lucas who is from the Spellbinders SpellBlogger Team, and as a DT Member of the Australian Distributors of Spellbinders. These classes were a great success, with firsthand experience by Linda and her lovely assistant, Teresa, guiding the ladies through a range of techniques to 2 lovely cards using Spellbinders fantastic products and partner products.

Along with Spellbinders Dies and M-Bossabilities, the Grand Calibur Die Cutting and Embossing Machine was given a good workout. This machine is such an easy tool to use, and takes so much of the work out of achieving your end results.  Working with a larger size plate also means  you don't have to keep upsizing and adding adapter plates.  Be sure to ask about a demo when you call in so you can see for yourself.

March Monthly Pack
BoBunny Press

This month we are going with a lovely pack by BoBunny Press.  C'est la Vie is full of pastel tones with a Shabby feel.  This immediately opens up avenues to try a few different styles, given the versatility of these papers and colourings.  I think we'll be seeing some beautiful work with this one, and it would be remiss of me not to say "don't miss out....you will be disappointed!"  We hope you can join us with this months challenge, and look forward to seeing how you put your creations together.  Don't forget, you can now upload your challenges to the Linky on the sidebar. If this doesn't suit or you don't have a Blog, email your image to Scrapville and we'll do it for you.  Grab a Monthly Pack today, there will be a limited number available.

Friday 15th & Saturday 16th March 2013
66th Wodonga Show

Don't forget to support your local 66th Annual Wodonga Show by getting on board with a few entries.  Time is running out to get your entries in, so come on everyone, Scrapville will be awarding a Prize Voucher for the Most Successful Exhibitor at this year's Show.  Let's have a go girls and support the Community at the Show, and your local Scrapbooking Shop!

The Notice to Exhibitors states that all entries are to be Bona Fide work by the Exhibitor, must have been completed within the last two (2) years, and not previously won 1st Prize in Section 47. You may enter three (3) projects per Class, per Exhibitor.
